BRIDGESTONE 460cc J33R DRIVERS
Similar to its 420cc predecessor, the J33R 460cc driver boasts an oversized club head designed for a higher launch with less spin. The 460cc version is crafted from 6-4 Titanium, providing golfers with unrivaled feel and forgiveness.

Stuart Appleby's Golf Bag Fred Couples, Stuart Appleby and Matt Kuchar are using the driver on tour. The driver has a fixed tungsten weight in the trailing edge of the club to help concentrate the center of gravity low and deep. This creates an optimized launch angle and ball flight.
The engineers at Bridgestone use a patented Low Modulus (Thin) Crown in the J33R 460cc. The crown flexes slightly at impact adding loft to the club head, which enhances the vertical gear effect. The enhanced vertical gear effect leads to an even higher launch and less backspin.
A unique crown-welding process is used to wrap the faceplate over the crown of the head to improve the vertical gear effect. It positions the center of the faceplate closer to where golfers are making contact, maximizing velocity and expanding the "sweet spot." This welding technique along with the weighting system makes the J33R 460cc driver spin much less than most of the other 460cc drivers in the market. In fact the low spin phenomenon of the J33R driver has been given the name of "Spin Killer" by some club fitters.
By taking its driver design to the USGA size and C.O.R. limits, Bridgestone offers golfers added forgiveness across the surface area of the clubface. The deep face design retains an optimal center-of-gravity location for maximized high launch, low spin ball flight and a high moment of inertia for added stability resulting in a combination of feel and power that better players will love.
All Bridgestone J33 series drivers feature an elastomer compound insert within the club head for reducing vibration throughout the crown, sole and face of the club. The reduction in vibration accounts for a more efficient energy transfer resulting in more distance.
The new Bridgestone 460cc J33R driver is available in 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 degrees of loft and comes standard with an AldilaŽ NV 65 graphite shaft and Golf PrideŽ grips. Custom shaft and grip options are available. |
